well ill have to check it out tomorrow just got back from er after my parts cleaning tank hose exploded giving me a bath with karot oil.... anyone thinking of getting pepper spray forget it I can verify that this works much better

oil in the intake is caused only by leaking plenum. since its a low pressure area, a small leak sucks in oil like a mother.

bad rings won't send oil into the plenum, it either burns or goes out the exhaust.

that was my thought when someone told me that I hope that you are all right really didn't plan on tearing down this motor was going to slowly build another btw anyone know how to get the injectors out my haynes or chilton manual say you need a special tool, also if there is anything good to clean them

when doing the plenum, to remove the intake, you need to disconnect the fuel line from the rail. that takes a 3/8" fuel line disconnect tool. its only about $5 at any parts store and the cheap little plastic one is usually ok.

to get the injectors out, all you have to do is unplug the electrical connectors (you did this in the step above) and then unbolt the fuel rail from the intake. then the injectors just lift out. when you replace them, use new o-rings and oil them before install.

ok i tried pulling on them but did not want to brake them so i did it gently but ill try a lil harder btw thanks to all the great members on this site all this input has made the project much easier thus far Ill be sure to put some pics up when its all done

well got it all back together tried to start but it ran like complete **** can't even move it out of driveway code 1297 keeps coming up for map sensor so i guess i will replace it. (yes it is plugged in)

make sure the little vac hose from the MAP sensor to the TB is connected and not split.

And you reconnected the outer hoses to the intake as well.
