Default Anyone swap in a FF14 in the rear os a second gen?

I have been hearing alot bad about the dana 60 in the rear of these trucks. I know the GM FF14 is a super strong, Reliable axle setup , I have one with 4:10 gears I am thinking of throwing in the rear of my truck. Anyone ever swap one in? I know the perches have to be moved, But thats no biggie. I have a welder , Dont hat same thing many times. ABS wont work either, but U hate ABS anyhow. Any other issues anyone sees with this?

It's actually a 9.25, not a D60..

The 14 bolt is one stout mother, that's for sure!

you think the rear axle in these trucks suck, try on a dana 35 from a jeep, that is a sad axle, i have a 9 inch to go in its place this winter, along with a dana 44 front from a bronco (no cad)

9.25 ring gear on my spicer/dana 60 . So yes it is a dana 60. Just the 30 spline version.

Mine is a 2500 . Not downgrading to a dana 44. If you hate the dana 35, Try to 30 in the older jeeps. My CJ5 had them till I swapped them out for waggy dana 44s. I had to outboard teh spring perches, but man it was a huge upgrad. I got tired of breaking stuff with a mild built small block chevy and a T18 ford transmission.

oic you have 3/4 ton, id try a dana 70 or 80, i think that be a much easier conversion

my jeep has the dana 30 front, with the cad, and im suprised i ain't broke them but i cant wait to get the 44 and the 9 inch in (im also looking forward to the wider more stable stance)

The hole in my D35 case from an exploded pinion bearing will tell you that
