i was thinking of the spst relay with dual outputs
the 30 powers both 87 and 87a so you can connect two accessories without having to tie the wires together to connect to the relay.

Watch out, some relays have 87a as a normally on terminal and 87 as a normally off terminal, so depending on the position of your switch one or the other of your accessories will be on, not both.

Dumb question: Anyone know where I can:
a) Find a readily available ACC wire in the cab (tried the one going to the radio, but it did strange things) and

b) Find a readily available backup-lights wire in the cab?

Thanks,

Do happen to know where I can find one of those relays?

Thanks Dave

Thanks Dave

I used these relays to wire up my rollbar lights, got mine at Canadian Tire, but any auto parts store should have em.

Just did this to my 96 but I did it a little differently, the fuse box under the hood is different on the 96 compared to a 98, but still has two relays.
I took both out while lights turned on with high beams on(yeah i know this step could possibly blow relay or fuse) and slowly put the relays back in the relay that flickers the foglight as you put it back in is the one you want to mess with, leave the other one alone.
Take the relay that made the fogs flicker and break of the #2 tab(my relay said it clearly on it) and put back in.
I willl post a DIY on it later with some pictures

That isn't 100% correct. When the coil is not energized, post 87a is closed. When the coil is energized, post 87a is opened and 87 is closed. They are not both outputs. The are inverses.

good call. the 'st' in the name 'spst' means single throw which, for lack of better term, means one or the other.
