Default Labor charge for 3" lift?

Now that I finally have my new tires on (Nitto Terra Grappler 285s), I priced out the installation of a 3" lift at the shop. They said, "About $400, or a little less." That is just labor folks. I have already purchased Skyjacker 3" springs and will get shocks, AAL or blocks in the near future. They said blocks would be a little cheaper to install. And an alignment would be free as they just did one when the tires were installed.

Is that a reasonable price? I would love to do this myself but have neither the time or tools.

well i put my lift on myself and im only 17 it was pretty easy and i didn't need to realine anything so save your self the 400 bucks go out and by a set of coil compressers and do it your self its easy. obw if you do diy get the heavy duty compress that go around the out side of the coil the light duty ones tend to blow in your face when your crankin down the coil

You don't need a spring compressor, just unbolt the shock and jack the truck up by the frame. If you want, keep the axle on a jack and lower that a little. The spring will fall right out.
Do you have new control arms too, or just springs?

3" lift will rub you around 400. You dont need new control arms.

Need..no. But, it won't hurt either. Stops the tires from rubbing on the back of the fender and keeps it centered in the wheel well. My 3" lift on my '01 came with control arms.

When you tires rub you need back spacing. A new track bar is the thing to get. That will center you axle front and back as well as side to side. My 3" lift came with only lower control arms.

Trac bar will only center the axle from left to right. Doesn't affect front to rear, that only changes w/ control arms. Why would they only send lower arms? If they are longer, they are only gonna make the drive line angle worse.

Yes, all I have are the springs for the front. I've researched this since I bought the truck in 01 so I'm not leaving anything out by only putting on springs and shocks up front. Over 3" lift and I would get longer lower arms.

360mag45= I would love to do this myself but like I said, neither the time or tools. This is my only vehicle.

So does anybody know what I should expect to pay???
