Yeah, the NAPA Gold/WIX filter is a VERY good filter. Accually very comparable to the K&N/Mobil1. Not saying anything bad about K&N/Mobil1 filters as they are great filters but cost 2x as much. And if you buy the Napas/WIX filters in a Master Pack you save even more. Hell, the entry-level $2 Napa ProSelect is light years ahead of any Fram. If you dont believe me, buy a Napa Gold filter and a Mobil 1 filter and cut them open.

Hey zman, you mentioned a while ago that you used Baldwin filters. Where do you get them?

Purolator PureOne filters are fantastic and they're cheap. The also have a textured finish to help grip them.

I already knew the fram filters were cardboard crap but was suprized about the mobil1's very small filter area....and according to the second (better) comarision all napa filters are wix filters....

But that does not apply to the big filters that we can use in our Dodges.

BTW, not all NAPA filters are the same as the $5 WIX. Thats why the ProSelect is $2, Nascar is $4, and the Gold is $6.

Ahhh. Fram HP1s are the same thing as the extra-guard just with a thicker can. Same POS filter on the inside.
