I have a 2001 dodge ram 1500 4x4 sport + offroad pacage, can i fit a 315/70/17 bfg tire on without rubbing on anything? If not then what kind of lift do i need? Body or suspention lift? Thanks for the help

Thats a little bigger than a 35" tire. You might be able to fit it. It will be TIGHT!!! Try a 305?

with either a body or suspension lift they will fit. Turning on the other hand.... Well, that is another matter.

I would doubt they will fit. An off-road ram is about 1.5-2" higher than a stock 4x4 ram. I've seen people fit 33's on an off-road but not 35's. A leveling kit would help but you will probably still rub when turning.

I'd look into a 5" lift kit with new control arms because you can't really go bigger than a 2" coil spacer since you have off-road coils. This would put about 3.5-4" of lift on your stock control arms and front suspension. Anything more than that should probably require new control arms and pitman arm. A 5" lift would be the way to go and plus it'd look sweet with those 315 70 17's. If money is an issue maybe a leveling kit would be just enough to clear them with some minor rubbing

5" of lift needs new shocks all the way around new coils or spacers in the front. add a leaf or MASSIVE block in the rear. Look at an index ring for your t case. (If you off road and flex out the front drive shaft might/will bind.) New lower and upper control arms. New drop pitman arm. This is a good lift to check out. http://www.extremesuspensions.com/st...cat=270&page=1 I think they will rub. A leveling kit will help but there still going to rub.
