ok so i wanted to lift my truck a few inches, and i found some blocks i can buy at AZ for the rear.

As for the front. Ive seen some lift ics where the front shocks just have a metal spacer at the top of the spring. Now is this something i could buy at a local Auto parts store? or are those spacers special order?

 

one question for you is what size blocks you going with. if you go with a 3 inch block you can use your stock shocks. anything above that and you will need new shocks.\

Also, its called a coil spring space/ leveling kit. very cheap and easy to install, but again above 3 inches and you need new shock, although most companies only sell 2-2.5 inch coil spring spacers/ leveling kit

But here is an epic fail at using coil sring spacers

 

yea it wasn't going to go morethan 3 in up. i want something small, (i love having a high up truck.) but cant have anything to extreme because i have a 2 month od daughter, and its a pain getting her in now lol.

Also i just put all new suspension on so thats a good thing i dont need to go bigger, because thatwas another one of my concerns. an i take it ill need a spring compresser right?

 

yes ull need a spring compressor even if u drop the suspension all the way down u still need to compress it to get the spacer in

 

Be careful, I bought the cheap lift blocks from AZ, they were cast aluminum and lasted about 6 months and one day I floored it to pull into traffic and shattered both of them, spum my rear axel 45 degrees and snapped my rear U-joint. luckily I was not moving very fast or it could have killed me. There was not much holding the axel to my truck. I ended up pulling the DS and limpimg home in 4hi. The good ones are not much more. go to Fat Bobs Garage. com, that is where I got my 2" level kit and 1" rear blockes and Ubolts. Trust me on this one, cheap is NOT better when it come to suspension. That is a DAMN fine Dodge Big Red!!!!!

 

Not to argue but I was able to install my 2" spacers with out a compressor, But I practially had to completely pull the front axel, only took a couple of hours, 3 tops.

 

thanks estech2 ive put a bunch or work into her. and ya im sure u can do it without i compressor but i put my leveling kit on in about an hour with the compressor. so which ever way u wanted to go it can be done

 

Did you have to block the rear after installing the 2" kit, after I put mine in the front was higher then the back, really sucks about that guys interior!

 

no mine already had a lift and blocks in the rear so the leveling kit made it sit perfect as u can see in the pic. and ya i would be a lil pissed if i was him. my interior isnt perfect but still wouldnt want some idiot to to use a 2 dollar can of spray paint on it

 

It is also nice to see someon else like the classic 4X4 look with the white letters out. Damn I love a Gen 2!!!! I got a bunch of crap fome the diesel heads about having my white letters out.
