i didnt even look to see if was automatic or manual...guess i will do that this evening.

Personal opinion, if you like them then that's all that counts

Not really what I'd call advantages. I suppose the truck would get slightly better fuel mileage because being a couple hundred pounds lighter due to not having a transfer case and being lower to the ground than a 4x4, and if you decide to re-gear it, (which is highly unlikely because it's foolish to lift a 2wd truck high enough that you'd get big enough tires to require a re-gear, especially in a diesel truck) you'd only have to re-gear one differential, and then there's always the chance of having a problem with your transfer case, which will not be a chore with a 2wd.

Hey. Tuning is easier then opening the pump and playing with the fuel plate. Tuner, plug and play.

But I love the p-pump. And 100% mechanical isn't a downside really. I just like to stack electronics

i would def go for a diesel. and a 6speed manual. 4x4 is an option, if you dont need it now will you need it in the future. now the question i would ask for on the white diesel, is do you really need a dually? do you tow that much? those things suck to park. or get around basic everyday city driving in. only plus side to a dually is beffier axle, but that wont be a problem with a 2500 either. and thats also two extra tires to be buying when it comes time.

very true...but i dont know if i will find a 2500 for that price...i have him down to 14200. i do alot of hauling in the spring and summer and dont mind the parking. buying two extra tires is a downside...but 6 street tires compared to 4 oversized mudders is probably about the same price...lol.

thats for the 3500. ill be waiting for that clip. i gutted my cat years ago however, this weekend im cutting it out and replacing with pipe. im thinking about turndowns from the muffler so i can get rid of the pipes and tips at the rear of the truck.
