Made some progress today.
Valve body is on finger tight, made it pretty easy with the hillbilly hoist. Kept it right in position while I got the snap ring on, then jacked it all the way up, got a couple bolts in and removed the jack
Was a bit worried cause I didn't track where the bolts go as good as I could have, I did organize them by front, rear and side though.
Appears I lucked out, all threaded up to tightness, I'm guessing if I had a long bolt in a hole meant for a short bolt, it wouldn't go all the way in.

Still finger tight though, gotta get a decent torque wrench tonight, the ones I have are all bent up.
So looks like I'll know within a couple days if my truck will drive.

Good luck bro. I dropped my valve body tonight. Decided to throw a shift kit in and clean things up. The pan was horrible, and the vb wasn't that good either. I think starting off in second gear all last week while my governor solenoid was out burnt up a bit of clutch material.

Well, I got everything together rather nicely, unfortunately for me the truck still has the same symptoms that I was told the harness replacement would fix.

When in drive, it lurches, shudders and shuts right off.
I guess my next stop will either be a repair shop or junkyard, haven't decided which yet.
