he may be but since i'm going to have to spend some time setting up the machine either way, then i'm going to bore it to the exact same size as the throttle plates.

if it were me i would just take a brass cylinder and cut it down to 52mm on the end with the lathe then cut two plates off it and put the screw holes with the milling machine. but since you probably don't have those machines then you'll have to buy them somewhere. where? i don't know.

I think your going to want that .002 buffer so the blades wont stick or hang up on anything, just my .02. As for the throttle blades summit sells them http://www.summitracing.com/search/P...throttle+plate I'm sure you could get them to work?

well i finally took it to the shop.
dodgeram07 did you get yours back on your truck yet?
i'm wondering if the slight gap between the stock plates and the walls of the bore will just make the IAC close a little more and not screw with the idle.
if it does then i'll just make some new plates. i did notice that the plates sit at an angle so i don't think new plates would get stuck.
also, how long are the button head bolts that poorman/fastman owners buy?
i know the threads are 5/16-18 x 2.25 but the longest i can find is 2", do they really need that extra 1/4"? i haven't taken mine off yet so i don't know.
I bored it out to 1.978 because the tool holder was being stubborn when i was trying to adjust it. so when i got it at 1.978 i said screw it, thats close enough.
that thing was also flush on the bed of the milling machine so the spot on the side that isn't shiny is due to a casting defect, so don't mind that.

i broke one of the bolts that holds the plates on and i need to throw some loctite on the new threads to make sure the new screw won't back out.
it was wierd that the original screws all had the very last thread about .005" bigger than the rest, which made them have a really tight fit. and thats why i'm going to loctite it.
i guess i'm just going to have to use the original bolts to attach it to the manifold and have Cruco order me the button head bolts since i can't find them anywhere local.

ya i have a little gap to, but if if look at a stock one up by a light it also has a gap,, its no big deal,, i cleared the computer and installed and the computer releaned and the idle was the same as before
i dont know the bolt size im using stock right now,,, but you can go to ace i think and get bolt with a allen head(thats what aim did)
but man that looks great!!!,,, you will realy like the diff only you get it put back on and drive about 50-100 miles,,, and if you dont feel a diff put back the old one and you will

thanks. i just pulled mine and swapped the sensors. i'm about to go put it on the truck after i bend my 1/4 20 threaded rod (my s bolt was a little too short).
i also saw a little pond of oil in the back that i couldn't through the butterflys, so a new plenum gasket is in the near future for me. i didn't think it was leaking too bad though because i don't have any knock, hmm...
