you definately need to tune it. and i didnt say tune until its loud...its always gonna be "loud". you want that resonance at idle...like i said...heart heart will rattle and it will be hard for you to hear anything...not because its loud...but because of the resonance.

every truck will be different...TUNE TUNE TUNE! trust me...a couple extra hours will make all of the difference.

my bronco would set off car alarms just idling through a parking lot...it wasnt loud at idle...but you could hear it on the other side of the mall and rumble it did!

basically...the whole point is to bounce or reflect the exhaust off of the pavement/ground.

i promise you wont be disappointed.

i know that sounds funny...but im trying to make it as simple as possible. its kind of like tuning a subwoofer box...i dont know if you have ever done that...but it works the same way. trim a little, try it trim a little, try it when you hit it...YOU WILL KNOW

My exhaust turns out the side. Whenever I drive past a wall, or in a tunnel, it's 3 times as loud, because of the sound bouncing back at me. Now you aim that exhaust at the ground, and it's the same thing all the time. You aim that exhaust straight out the back, and you never hear it.

You get it?

if you are gonna run true duals...2 - 2.5 inches...nothing bigger.

if your exhaust resonates at the right frequency your ears cant hear anything else...thats why it carries so far when it is tuned correctly. at that frequency thats all anyone can hear.
