the pipe coming from the header/manifold needs to bend with the highest radius possible. once it is parallel to the frame--go straight back all the way to the bumper. get a turndown and put it on the end of each pipe. listen to it. if it rattles your heart (good resonance) at idle then leave it there...if not cut off about 8 or 10 inches. put the turndown on and do it again. once you get that heart rattle at idle, weld the turndowns on and wake the neighbors.
