Default Buying from Hughes Engines

I've been looking online at Hughes Engines, and I am looking to buy these parts:

Hughes Intake Manifold 5409 - 599.99
Hypertech 180 Thermostat 1839 - 11.95
Thermostat Housing 1837 - 9.95
MSD Plug Wire Set 32183 - 75.95
8 NGK Spark Plugs 5671A-7 - 23.92. <-- Not sure if this is the right heat range (-7)
ACCEL Distributor Cap 22042 - 13. 95
ACCEL Distributor Rotor 22044 - 8.50

Subtotal: 744.21

I'm calling tomorrow, so please stop me if I'm doing something wrong here! The only thing on the list I haven't heard anything about are the ACCEL cap and rotor. Any thoughts or opinions? I'm very excited about the AirGap intake manifold!

hughes/edelbrock airgap intake eliminates the plenum and its stupid belly pan and gasket.

i don't know about the plugs. i just run the cheapo autolite 3923.
you might can get plug wires cheaper at your local parts store.

I agree those $75 dollar wires are only going to have any benefit unless your running a HEI (high energy ignition) system like the msd box ....this is one of those things where many believe thicker wires will somehow make a stronger spark than a stock distributor style ignition can make...
I've got the accel supercoil and distributor and wires in my vette.....noticed no change at all over stock....just cost me a lot more....of course my factory stuff wasnt shot like most when they notice a change.
and I bought a 180 degree thermostate a month ago for like 6 bucks at pepboys....I know cheap ones tend to fail and stick though so...yours may be a good investment

Alabama, that all looks awesome, but I don't really want to spend loads of cash. Maybe in the future though!

The biggest problem for me is that all of the parts stores here hardly carry anything for my truck, everything else is special order.

Anyways, what are you guys running ignition-wise? How's it all working? The thing I'm wondering the most about are the wires. I'm running mostly stock, and I have no idea which set is better. I'm looking at the street fires now, $35 is pretty nice, and I hear some people like them..
