how to tell if you have 2 or 4 wheel anti-lock breaks?

I don't have either, I have a 1500. I'll go take a look in the AM. I've never seen any sensors coming off the rear end. Only brake lines.

Rear Wheel ABS don't have a ABS sensor. They are controlled by the portioning valve and the ABS module. HOWEVER, If you have rear DISK brakes, well then THAT, my friend is a different story. I'll tell you, I'm willing to put my pink slip on it, all rams with drums ATLEAST have RWAL also know as Rear Wheel ABS.

I lost it. Did a quick reply but gone. Okay I find this thread interesting, but a little confusing. so let my add some more confusion. My truck a 1999 2500 4x4 V10 Club 8800GVW. An early model with drum brakes in the rear. Okay 2 or 4 wheel ABS. The rears are controlled by one sensor located on the meatball (rear Diff). Look on top and you will see a sensor wire. The system monitors ring gear speed and when sensing a quick reduction it controls the hyd pressure to the rears keeping them from locking up. My fronts have ABS sensors on each wheel. So is this a 2, or maybe a three wheel system since the rears are controlled as one, or a 4 wheel system. Simple as far as Rams go, it is a 4 wheel system, even though the rears are treat as one unit. I think folks get confused when they don't see sensor wires coming off each rear wheel. If your new to Rams get use to it-the confusion-that's what makes them so interesting, and one hell of a truck.
