Default A sad day.

Well, the Dodge had it's first ride on a tow truck this morning. My Engine seized on the highway about 10 miles from the house. It started to get a slight knock on a cold start-up that went away about 3 seconds after it ran. Well, today I guess whatever it was went out in a bad way. It started knocking hard out of nowhere so I pulled off and looked under the hood, saw nothing, then shut it off. Never started back up.

Oil is fine, water good, trans good, and yep, there's windshield wiper fluid too. I'll dig into it later next week as I have a work truck. The Ol' Lady say's I need to ditch the Beast and get a 6.7 Cummins. I think I have too much invested in the thing to walk away now. Any thoughts?

Do what you need to do. And I would buy a 5.9 before a 6.7. The emssions delete stuff is just coming out so there will be bugs in the system.

there's a lot of factors in determining if its time to let her go. How much do you like it? What else can go wrong? How much $$ have you put in? It's a tough decision believe me I know.

Yea I would agree with a 5.9 over the 6.7 but his wife wants the 6.7 and think about it how many 2nd gens have a 6.7 in them
