As ****ty as them intake bolts are i wouldn't retorque them. I'm staying away from them damn things. I had enough issues with snaping them off trying to put my air gap on the first time.

I got Marvel Mystery Oil in right now, Seafoam in the next fill up. Didn't think about the 91 octane, I will have to do that. Thanks.

I just realized the manual say to torque the idle pulley to 45 ft. lbs. I did so but never got it to click, felt like it was to tight and gonna snap. same goes for the generator mounting brackets at 40 ft. lbs. and the generator @ 30 ft. lbs.
That's why I never use clicker-style torque wrenches. They're a lousy gimmick and need regular calibration checks. Bar style will never do you wrong.

1. About the removal of the alternator and a/c pump, can you just unbolt the bracket they both rest in and take them out as one unit or must you remove the alternator and a/c pump first?

2. How do you clear the ECU to get it to relearn after the fix has been done?

When I did my plenum, I removed the alternator completely but carefully flipped the A/C and its bracket over and out of the way on the fender.

When you disconnect your battery, you reboot the ECM, so you should be ok.

On the Hughes instructions for the AirGap, it says you can speed up the learn process by having BOTH battery cables disconnected, then touching them together for a short time. This resets the computer so it can learn the new manifold faster.

i took my A/c and alternator off with the bracket, just undo the connectors, and it will all come out, but keep them in the upward position for the A/c will leak oil

BTW the ALT. will have a connector that has 2 very small 7mm nuts, and 2 10 mm, nuts, make sure not to loose those

so will having the battery and pcm disconnected for over a year be enough to clear it out?

30 minutes is adequate, a year is pretty much overkill.
