My Plenum Kit fix.
I thought I share my plenum fix. I had one thing go wrong and it was just one bolt on the keg that snap. After taking the keg off, the bolt stuck out enough to get locking pliers to it and a love tap from a mini sledge hammer.
I took off my fuel rails and injectors off as-well and replace the o-rings. Glad I did, they were all gunk up and the o-rings were failing. I bought the fuel disconnect tool but never needed it, I had the the yellow tab type and it was easy to disconnect the line from the rail. Honestly I thought this would be the toughest part of the job but it was the simplest.
Actually none of the job was very difficult at all. I took my time, label and photo every bolt that came off. The biggest tip that you won't hear is take a break once in a while. Do something else
and come back to it.
Cap n' rotor, spark plugs, and wire were replace too, no probs. there.
Not really any special tools required other than a inch. wrench/lbs. wrench and locking pliers that I had to buy. Fuel disconnect tool never needed.
Trucks ECU is cleared and awaiting for it to go thought its process. So far It feels different, a tad bit more power, but it could be mind games. Some weird fuel sucking sounds I had before were completely gone, so that's good. We'll see.
Lots of time was spent cleaning. But all and all it was fun.
I have to thank all of you for the the information on this forum. So much information helped me in the process. My gratitude to you all.
edit: I also replace the by-pass hose, and the 180 thermostat. Blup the system and running cool.

I read/skimp over the kegger mod. but don't really see any hard evidence(dyno) on it. Its an option, but I like to rely on hard facts.
Is that because of the gaskets breaking in? I will do so in a week.
I got Marvel Mystery Oil in right now, Seafoam in the next fill up. Didn't think about the 91 octane, I will have to do that. Thanks.
I just realized the manual say to torque the idle pulley to 45 ft. lbs. I did so but never got it to click, felt like it was to tight and gonna snap. same goes for the generator mounting brackets at 40 ft. lbs. and the generator @ 30 ft. lbs.

Not likely, but the wrench could be out of calibration.
Could probably test it on a junk bolt in a hole that doesn't mean anything, to see if it clicks eventually.
Is that a flaked epoxy floor coating I see in your garage ?
you should have gotthe intake ported and polished. Mine looks brand ne and the shop only charged me 40 bucks. and it made a HUGE difference for i tore out my old intake that had the hughes plate, but i didnt kegger mod it, and didnt get it cleaned. This time i did, got it cleaned,(look at the pic in my garage) kegger modded with a new hughes plateand it runs way better.
I have had it both ways, so i can be the "hard facts"
congrats on the job, makes you feel good huh?
i felt like a million bucks when i did it the first time (total of 18 hours) then this time (2 weeks ago) it took me 8-9 hours, and i felt like a million bucks again lol
