That should work if the slots for the glass are metal. I would go with the 2 part liquid type. On my Thunderbird it was plastic slots, with one on each end of the glass. I used an epoxy that is made for glass and plastic and it never let go, even with the window seal grabbing the glass hard enough to severely slow down the windows operation.

I purchased this 3M automix channel bonding and sidelite adhesive. It is part # 08641 and requires a special dual plunger gun and special mixing tips. I think this is similar to what was used originally. Its been too cold to mess with it though. I got the window back in and rolled it up, it can wait a few weeks further.

I think that is what the local body shop supply house has, but after I buy the gun and stuff, I doubt it's worth it. I would really like to get a foot of urathane tape that is used on some front windows, I think that would work.
