I run a plow on my '96,..
It's normal for that kind of drop.
It recovers shortly after a movement
with the plow.
Just keep the heater on low, radio off
and, it will be fine... If it bothers you,
up-grade the Alt. to a larger one.

sounds like a normal drop. I also run a 96 2500 plow truck 9' boss and when i pick up the blade the lights dim for a sec. my kids ride with me and couldnt live with out the radio. and the heat is on. a bigger alt wouldnt hurt.

My 95 1500 shows the voltage on the gauge at 16v while driving regardless of what accessories are on. But when I stop at a light it drops below 14v. I had two parts stores run a chraging diagnostic and niether found any problems. But it happens while driving not while idling. Could this be the ECM or the Alternator?

16V is kind of high, but as long as it doesn't drop below 13V at idle you should be fine.

UPDATE--- Tested with voltmeter and it was the dash gauge. On my way to Napa for an aftermarket.
