Wrong forum, a mod will probably move it for you.

I had my rear tire come off doing about 15 at the local shopping strip. Apparently it is a somewhat common problem with aluminum rims. If it isnt't put on just right, when it is set back down the rim shifts leaving one or more lugs loose. Shortly after they rattle off and then the tire follows shortly after.

Seems like you are okay, thats good to know!

He said the rotor and everything flew off, not just the tire/rim...which would mean the the hub/bearing assembly grenaded most likely. If the bearings in the hub get worn out and lose grease or burn up the grease, it will get so hot inside that when you take it apart it looks like welding slag. Have you had any play in your front tires? Moving up down, in/out? This is common when it doesnt get caught and replaced

Wheel came off mt V.W. Bug one time, we were going around a long sweeping downhill turn @ about 50 when the LR wheel came off, my wife said "whats that noise" And as the wheel rolled past us I told her it was that tire that's not supposed to be way over there. we both startrd laughing our asses off till it crashed through someones glass patio door.
