Default A/C Clutch

How hard is it to change the A/C Clutch? Mine sounds like bearings are going bad. IT squeaks all the time. took the belt off to find which pulley was the culprit. the A/C pulley is culprit..... How hard is it to chnage or is it possible?

Well just a thought, but if its cold out you could just get a smaller belt and bypass the A/C if you wanted to do that.

the defroster will work like normal. All the A/C does is remove moister from the hot air.

I'm just saying it can't be that important cause trucks with no A/C don't have any problems with their defrosters.

The reason the compressor comes on with the defroster is to lubricate the a/c components in the winter months. Then when that first time you turn it on in the late spring,it will work, and not be seized up.
