CV Joints?
man, i got my sister and her husband a 260 piece craftsman set a couple years ago and it cost me 200$.
i just got done with the driver side u-joint a little bit ago. im getting on the other side tomorrow. i found out that you dont have to take off the axle nut. you can unbolt the hub and pull out the whole thing. my axle nut wasnt coming off for nothing. i put everything possible into it. i had a big breaker bar, heat, oil, and whatever else. no good. i just pulled the whole thing off and pressed the u-joints out with my handy dandy press. it did make it a bit of a pain to get it situated on the press with the hub still on it but it was much easier than getting that stupid nut off.
i finished the other side today. man, those u-joints were probably some of the worst ive ever seen. the driver side didnt even have the rollers inside of the bearing cover. i know in the haynes manual, it says to use a vice to press those things out, but that just wouldnt have been possible unless they were pretty new and even then i doubt it. i have a 20 ton shop press and i was crankin on them things and when they let go it sounded like a gun shot. a couple of them cought me off guard and scared the $hit out of me. all in all, it was a pretty fun job to do.
