i've got 285-75/16 on those wheels. that's about the max you go without starting to rub and going too far into the 'my gears suck' category.

well in that case i think what ill do is go ahead and get another set of 265's

until i can get new springs, shocks, leafs all around..so i can actually have a true 3 inch lift instead of a 3 inch saggy lift

cause yours isnt lifted is it? fills out the wheel wells pretty good

yeah without some serious lifting or some major rubbing bigger side wall aint gonna happen

but i was more concerned with width cause of the fact..i do have a heavy foot and i wouldnt mind a bigger contact patch..but i still need strong side walls as well

thanks for the help

id stick with your 265's thats what im running....any higher than the 285's you'll most likly need gear changing/lift.

i run the 265/75/16 with 4.10 gears in the front and rear, and its a perfect combo IMO

in case you didnt know they come stock with 3.55's

yeah im prolly gonna stick with em..mainly cause i love the way these rims look on the 94-96's..they just go perfectly with the truck..especially in my color or the blue like you have

sides with the snow we get around here anything over 265 and ill just spin..

snow - narrow tire for traction

mud/sand - widest tire is mostly best

my boss had 33x12.5x15 on his....dont know if the 15 inch rims he had was the same width though, and he had those with stock height (really fat tire IMO) and always hit the bumper when turning.

i dont have the stock rims, i have aftermarket 5 spoke, american racing, black powder coated rims. and it looks bad as$
