Call me crazy, but I pulled mine out of sheer curiosity and replaced the gasket and plate. Mine wasn't pressed out or leaking at all that I could tell. That was all done at 110K miles.

changed mine out the first time at 191K. then i wanted to kegger mod/port and polish manifold...so i did it again at 193K with another hughes plate. shes at 197,923 now and the inside of the manifold is still pure silver

i have 132,000 on mine and clean that i know of , prob going to leak now since its been sitting since october

look into the TB...and you'll know (oil inside of manifold)
