Yes, and that's why I mentioned the hybrid systems...
Tuner sites, various service books, other websites.
As I mentioned, there was a rare few late 96's that had that "hybrid" OBDII. They aren't full blown OBDII and that's why you have a hard time trying to find a tuner for them.
You also read that shift points can be changed in thee trucks, and you bought it....

I later read that our trucks fall short of full electronic transmission as the electronics are governed by analog tv cable...(stupid system). However The shift behavior can be slightly changed on our rams with a tuner...even though the control points are mainly controlled by the tv cable the wot control of the shiftpoint is modified by the tcm and that can be manipulated by the tuner as well as lockup.result is firmer shifting at slightly different rpms..so yeah what I read had some truth....

so yeah I'll stand by my statement that it was OBDII compliant even if it was slightly changed in later years thats why it was a hybrid

I wish I could get a MOPAR performance PCM but since I have a 360 w/5speed in a 1500 I don't think it would work. I think I am going to have to do the B&G custom tune (about $100 cheaper then the mopar as well) to change from my 318 to 360 computer. On another note I had done several searches and couldn't find out price or where to buy a MOPAR Perf. PCM so I guess it is dealer only.
