Default still cant get it running!!

i replace the plenum gasket and put all back together and had the problem with idle now it is smoking horribly bad (when it runs) its a white color and smells like gas mostly and i have to have the gas all the way down to get it to start then it wont idle. if i keep it reved up for a couple minutes then slowly slowly let the rpm drop it will surge at idle and makes a horrible hissing noise at the throttle body any ideas?

check your TPS, and IAC

as for the smoke...look down into the TB and see if the plenum is leaking again.

what did you use to fix plenum? if you just got a new gasket, you will have the problem again in no time

If it will run long enough to get up to full operating temp. the smoking may stop. The other problem sounds fuel related. Pull the pre-cat o2 sensor out and see what happens. If you can get it driveable for 15-20 miles, you can evaluate the smoking much easier. Then pull some plugs and check those. The smell of raw gasoline out the exhaust says it's not firing correctly.

TPS is on the driverside of the TB, the IAC is on the back (firewall). theres is a thread somewhere on here to ohm out the TPS. as for the IAC.............

Easiest way to find out if either of those two are bad, start the truck unplug the TPS and if you dont see a difference in the idling or throttle response then the sensor is bad, fallow same rule with the IAC. usually if the TPS is bad then when you rev the truck up and let go of the throttle it will die instantly
