Default getting a ram saturday

hello guys,

buying a 95 dodge ram 2500 ext cab with the 360 saturday morning. has a bunch of new parts and just had a tuneup, previous owner diagnostied a rough to no-start problem as a bad timing chain (jumped).

also has minute mount plow mounts (good for Massachusetts); now my question is are the timing chains on these hard to replace? i hear it's a common problem.

thanks,
brandon

Water pump, 180* thermostat, check the belt, hoses make sure they'er all tight an not weather cracked and do a coolant flush since you got it appart

Do not bother with a 180 stat. Not only will it most likely get worse gas mileage, but in the winter months up here you might have to look at a CEL all winter.

Don't get the 180* thermostat. Those are only effective when your computer is tuned for it. Just get a new 195* thermostat.

EDIT: Wow you guys posted fast. I live in Arizona and it did nothing but give me hell when I had it in my truck. Loss of power and gas mileage.

Like I said, you could only see a gain if your computer is tuned to work with it.
