Looks like I help you one way or the other. Good luck.

wow 80$ i got all four blanced and mounted for 40, 10 per wheel.

also for those lookin at the retreads, i got four matching sidewalls, so did my dad, my mom, my sister, and my brother in law. i got the walnut shell, not sure how much it helps but i rarely lose traction when i dont want to, the shipping was fast, customer service is great, price was nice. def didnt have 1200 for the tires i wanted but just over 500 for them shipped and mounted once i got them, cant complain. all the sidewalls look great, load rated E. its hard to find a better deal.

they started with tractor tires and been moving into truck tires and offroad tires just recently, but havent read one bad thing about them.

i understand the drawback of retreads for some people, but technology in tire making and remaking has also improved.

Tires are too important to gamble with for a few hundred dollars in savings. The current recommendation for tire age is six years. There's no way to know how old the cores used in making these retreads are. Like I said, they may be fine for farm tractors and over-the-road truckers, but as far as passenger vehicles, I'd say better safe than sorry. Read this:

Especially the last paragraph.

Theres actually a code on the sidewall of tire that will tell you when it was made, but I agree in that its not worth it to save a few hundred bucks.

I would stay away from that tread pattern if I were you. I have a set like that on my truck and I absolutely hate them. Traction on and off road is horrible and you can forget about driving in snow/ice, you won't be able to move. On top of that they're loud and wear really fast. Your truck deserves better.

I think I found my next tire.. Going to save at least 52% compared to new
that is the exact tires i have on my truck. but they were 107$ each when i got them.
i asked for matching bfg a/t sidewalls and they said that it wouldn't be a problem, i wanted those casings for the sidewall strength and the rim guard. according to the date code, my tires are all just a couple years old, i think it was one from 09, one from 08 and two from 06 or something like that. if you look at purpl's tire date thread you'll see how old they are.
treadwright says to balance them on a static balancing machine and the place that installed them used a roadforce type machine, so i need to get them balanced on an older one to get rid of the 45mph bounce.
i didn't opt for the crushed glass deal thinking that it would make them wear faster and i don't believe it would really be that much of a help, these things hook up really good in snow/ice and the little bit of shallow mud that i've been in so far.
if you do order a set then you will have to go over them with a fine tooth comb when you get them, if there are any defects then you'll have to take a picture and send it to treadwright and they will send a replacement. i believe one guy got a set and had a problem with one of them and treadwright sent him 4 new tires.

oh yeah, they have a nice little hum on the highway too. but if it bothers you then you can just turn on the radio.

AND... THE BEST PART IS.... YOU SAVED AROUND $600.00!!!!!!!

I can't see spenging $1,100 for new BFG's install and aligned

I can get these tires shipped right now for $497.60... I got quaoted $1,189 at my local tire shop to have the BGF's installed with an alignment.. that's a savings of $691.40... I have a buddy with a tire machine and balancer... (case of beer) and an alignment is $84.50 at my favorite shop in town... So i'm still saving about $600.00
