^we would need more info before we could suggest anything. like if it is a long box or short box.
it is interesting that yours has a 2 piece drive shaft. my 91 d150 short box had a 1 piece drive shaft.
In my info at the top right of my post it lists CCSB=Clucb Cab Short Box
And yes its a 2 piece, mainly what I want done is have the ends cut off the rear shaft, and have a new shaft put in.
And i cant find my truck in any junkyards around here, no 2nd gens, much less 5spds with a shortbox. Anyone know if the tsb is still honored?
Ok, thanks. I finally got the rear part of the shaft in to a shop today, they said about $180-200 for retubing, but they are gonna replace the u-joints and spin balance it first to make sure it needs it.
They also said I should bring the front part of the shaft in so it can all be balanced together, does anyone think thats necessary? The front part has no problems, so if its still balanced, and they balance the rear part I should be good right?
I may take them the front piece. It just doesnt make sense that if the fronts already balanced, and they balance the rear, he acted like they could throw each other off, which is what I'm tryin to figure out. If both are balanced, can they throw each other off? Just doesnt make sense to me lol.
