Defective Gear Box
I grew up in Defuniak springs/Crestview, i dated many of daughtor's of officers that were stationed on eglin

Great. Now suck it up and go back and tell that dealer to get his **** straight and tight and fix your truck properly. There's no reason why he shouldn't be able to properly diagnose your problem and fix it. These trucks aren't that complicated. Something is either worn out or misadjusted.
I have been thru the area numerous times and enjoy the country atmosphere.
Yep, and i miss it alot i loved growing up there but theres no money there unless you farm and iv got 40 achers but the onlything my family is been able to grow on it in the last 120 years is surgercain and water mellon. everything else dies, so i moved to pensacola when i was 18 then move to minnesotta when i was 21
A Marine conducts himself in a certain way, but all I see coming from you is a lot of whining about your truck. That was my reason, and it was not an attack so much as a kick in the *** from a fellow jarhead. If you end up giving up on your truck that's your choice, but don't expect any sympathy from anyone.
Dude it's a truck, it will never drive like a corvette. If you have 1inch of play in your steering consider yourself lucky. My truck has like a quarter turn of play in it and everything on my truck is brand new.

Ying, I FEEL YOUR PAIN!!! Mine has had loose steering for as long as I've had her. The dealership I bought from had aimlessly replaced parts to correct the problem, to no avail. Since then, I have methodically replaced everything I can think of, from the steering wheel to each tire. Another steering column, new Borgerson intermediate shaft, two "rebuilt" steering gear boxes, new track bar, new bushings, new tie rod joints, new ball joints, new bearings (as they wore out, of course). I'm almost to the point of "it ain't gonna get no better". If you find the prob, PLEASE let me know! I've probably got 3 - 4 inches of play in mine.
