old skool fog lights

Default old skool fog lights

picked these babies up for free..wish i had a before pic..they were dirty as hell but bright..i mean these things are so bright i could run them with parking and people would think there my high beams

unsure on the date of manufacturing..etc
15 v
55 watt
sealed beam halogens..
5 inch case

thinking about mounting them under the front bumper

Put them under the rear bumper for reverse lights.

they were made out of Springfield IL and the design of these lights was patented in 1962..

my guess is somewhere between 62-80's..they were off a grain truck..then mounted on a 89 s10

and my reverse lights are more than enough..i have new bulbs all the way around except for headlights..so the reverse are fine

those look familure as hell!!! lol they'er the old style of the ones i have, you're going to freaking love driving at night with them. Just make sure you mount them low enough for the light to be level with the road not pointing down or straight up into the trees, the model i have you can adjust them up or down which i like the fact they do that because iv hit snow banks with them and they just fold back under the bumper and dont snap off, you might have a small problem with yours though because they dont look like they'er going to tilt.

i now know where ima mount them..that looks great..yeah these tilt with ease..i greased em up..took em apart cleaned everything up..and put em back together

problem is..i cant hook em up till i get the starter connection taken care of..but i can still mound em..

how did you put them on the bumper? cause as you can see mine or a bolt design

EDIT and yes pizza hut was ordered minutes after taking that pic

mine are bolted on also, i just went and bought a softsteal drill bit and drilled a hole in the bumper on eitherside of the license plate. Theres a bolt that goes through with a nut on the backside of the bumper and a lock washer

i put my HELLA fog lights behind my grill, had to weld a bracket to each side on the radiator supports, came out pretty nice. turn day into night

see im thinking of doing that also but dont you lose alot of light behind the grille ? id think the grille would cut the light inhalf
