Default sigh...another wrecked truck thread

well heres a sh!tty story for you guys, i went out to the store last night to get some stuff, even though we just got hit by two different snow storms recently and have about 10 inches of snow with an inch of ice on top, i still went out... not a big deal had to work to get my truck out of the apartments parking lot, but when i was on the main road it was all clean no big deal, go to the store, do what i gotta do, on the way home i decide to swing into the car wash to get the salt n stuff off my exhaust tip, last winter i RUINED my tip because i left all that crap on it and it was bad, so now i have my huge exhaust tip that i dropped big bucks for, im not risking it, so i go to clean it off real fast....well i pull around the back of the car wash, and go to pull in, well i hit a nice big spot of solid ice right at the entrance, and i knew not to slam my brakes but i guess i hit them a little harder than i shouldve and BAM slid right into the phuckin wall...

it pushed my brush guard all the way up over my bumper and shattered my corner headlight, push in the top plastic piece of the bumper, the side of the bumper (metal part) bent in slightly with a nice gash on it, and the bottom plastic piece of the bumper and the air dam ripped out and are hanging down.....the brush guard is phucked up im not sure what happened to it because i havent looked at in day light, but theres all kinds of play in it now, i can push it up to the headlight and pull it down about past half the bumper...so im pretty phuckin pissed...it wasnt a good night, now i gotta figure this **** out....sorry for the rant, just wanted to let you guys in on it,

AND if you can believe it, i think the hit MAY have even caused my sturdy dash to crack...

ill get some more pics when its daylight

That sucks! At least it looks like the fender and hood are ok.

Agreed, the fender and hood would be big bucks compared to the bumper. The bumper can be done yourself, if you wish, and pretty inexpensively (relatively speaking).

Glad you're OK.

a new corner light is only going to cost you 20$, so that's some good news, http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1994-...Q5fAccessories
as far as the brush guard goes, a chain, 4lo and a tree will help it out for sure.

I know the body shops around here sell rechromed bumpers and new plastic trim on them for half the price of a new one, may be worth checking out.

Thats why I dont like brush guards. Most of the time they cause more damage than they protect!

Good thing Bessler's has some Rams in their yard with good bumpers! And Pershing Auto has some good deals on the plastic.

+1, unless you find a nice deal in a junkyard for a whole bumper assembly.
