Failing U-joints/goin out?

I just got it looked at... Good news and bad news
Good news: my u joints are fine
Bad News: They think its my throw out bearings... >

i just talked with my shop today about doing all the U joints... $300 for front axle.. and about $200 for the other 3... I think I might try it by myself

You could mess up 2 or 3 sets, and still not get to $500. After you get the first one, you'll be an old pro!! They're not that bad. Just have some time, and take your time.

Try? We all know you are capable of doing it yourself. If you have a severely frozen u joint, you can try my little trick to get them out. I tried a hammer and a socket for a couple hits on my sisters truck and when I realized that the caps were rust-welded into the yoke, I decided to get the angle grinder out. 5 minutes later, the center of the u joint had been cut off and all it took was one hit on each cap to pop them out.

what about throw out bearings? i may let the local votec class do it. Sure itll take forever but i know the close cousin of the instructor

its squeakin whenever the clutch isnt depressed now, coasting, driving, you name it. Throw Out beaings?
