Making my own plenum plate

Im not saying you're stupid for making your own plate. All i was saying is that for most (search plenum) it is just easier and more cost effective to buy from Hughes or APS. I would love to have my son out in the garage with me...if he wasnt only 9 months old and I live in Alaska with a cold garage. He will definately be out there with me when he gets older!

And yes, TTY is torque to yield.

If you are now using a thicker plate wont the same length of bolt work for bottom of manifold?

Default made my own plenum plate

I just finished fabbing my own plenum plate.Took me about 1 hour traced old steel one from pick -pull that cost $2 .Got a piece of 6016 alum enough to make 3 plates for $2.50 a #total was $9.75.I will post a picture of it as soon as i figure out how to .The plate turned out just as good if not better than Hughes.Wait it cost me about $12 the shipping from hughes was going to be
$17.
