Miami seems to be twisting what happened a bit... or speaking about parts of the situation that he has no knowledge on. Like blaming me elsewhere, when I had nothing to do with it.

Let's talk about that "mod move," shall we? I closed a thread that was not only off topic, but about a competing vehicle brand. How rude is it to come into a place named Dodge Forum looking for help with your Ford? On a comparative level, I think most would say the poster's rudeness surpassed mine. My concern with the thread was not only that it had no place being here, but that it would quickly escalate into a flamefest for exactly the reason I found it inappropriate. The 2nd Gen Ram owners are a pretty faithful and fervent bunch and someone was bound to take issue with it. I didn't think to move it to the Off ZTopic forum because, again, as this is Dodge Forum I didn't think it was appropriate anywhere on here. So, who is more rude, the guy who starts a thread on his Ford in Dodge Forum instead of on one of the many available Ford forums easily found with google, or the mod who took issue with it?

That thread is a perfect example of the misguided thinking some of you admins have. You think it is better to appease one wayward member with little common sense rather than risk alienating him. I didn't, because the hundreds of other members who make up this great forum deserve better. They know this is Dodge Forum, the "Dodge Enthusiast Community," not Ford or Chevy Forum. Some of you appear to have forgotten that in favor of just adding more warm bodies to the mix. That mentality does a disservice to everyone that invests their time into these forums.
You know, when you regularly think everyone else is the problem... it usually means YOU are the problem; not EVERYONE else. You were a very rude moderator, who didn't care about new members and went by your own set of rules...

You put yourself in this position. Your way of thinking about this situation is ludicrous.

"Miami_Son is no longer a moderator of the 2nd Gen Ram section."

Uhm, yeah. I'm sure that everybody reading that had to wonder what the hell happened. What was the hurry? Was I going to steal office supplies or something? I could have been offered the chance to make the announcement myself instead of looking like security escorted me out of the building.

This is getting rediculous... If everybody was complaining about his modding and calling people out in the forum, insisting instead that he PM them, then maybe some of you should take your own advice. Thats for mods and members alike. You want this forum to thrive, then get this sh*t off of the site. Lock the thread and delete it. Simple as that. This b*tching and complaining is in no way showing power, authority, or maturity. When new members begin with this site and they see this, NOW what are they going to think? Exactly. End this argument, seriously.

Miami you were a great mod. Ill end at that...

Maybe you should read all of this thread. A recurring theme seems to be that I was firm, but fair and a pretty good mod. I'll let the words of my many supporters speak for me.

I believe this was Miami's thread, not an admin thread. We were giving him his say. Since it is getting out of hand, I will take your advice and lock this.

So what Miami is not a mod anymore... We're not kicking him off of the forum. Moderating is not for everyone. You're welcome to stick around Miami.
