It is right behind the passenger side head. It uses cap screws to hold it in. I think a 1/4" allen wrench works to get the bolts out. You may be able to back them out from the engine compartment rather than from underneath the truck. It is a PITA but doable.

I hear all these stories about what a PITA this is but mine was real simple. I just laid under the truck it is behind the passenger side head sandwiched between the tranny and engine. Mine has 2 1/2 bolts holding it in.

Just replaced mine, tape a 1/4 allen biut into a socket that will fit (1/4" drive), and put some extentions on it. Bolts were easy to get out this method, hands too big to reach in there and you can tap the long apaeratis on with a hammer needbe to get rust, etc out. OEM sensor works best for this, I got a BWD from advanced and it got taken out by the flywheel on the first crank, beware.
