I have no idea if they're legal or not, but I'm also running no cat so I'm illegal anyways. I think I'll go with 2.5" duals off that 3" Y, and I've heard a lot of people talking about Flomaster 44 series, so I'll look into those.

Mohawk you got a vid of what your truck sounds like? Cat or no?

To the OP:
Go on youtube and do a search for a guy named 01dodgeram360
Look at his truck he had this same setup - pacesetter longtubes, y-pipe, 3'' in 2 1/2'' out flowmaster super 44 with a gutted cat.

In my opinion that is THE BEST sounding Ram I've EVER heard. Beats straight pipe or straights off the cat by far... sounds absolutely amazing.

Oddly enough I was just logging on here to do some searching for whats better long tubes or shortties and then I see this thread lol. You have link to the pages where you got the headers and y pipe?

Glad to hear you like that sound, because that's basically the exact system I'm going to have. I'm at work right now so I can't get on youtube, but I'll check it out later. I wan't to drive up to the shop that's going to finish the exhaust but I need to figure out a way to allow clearence for the front drive shaft. Maybe I'll just remove it for now so that he can finish my project...plus I think I need to do the front U-joint anyways. Oh and I'll get those page links for my setup as was requested in a little while.

looks good, I may have missed it and I checked summit website and couldn't find anything about it ( although I have read they offer it) but it looks like you had the optional coating put on there? can you talk about the benefits/cost?

Yea they come ceramic coated...about $150 option but it supposedly will not allow the headers to rust out, which I heard was very common with non-coated headers. Unfortunately I think it's impossible to fit the headers on this truck without scratching them against the frame, so I hope I didn't damage the coating and waste my money. Oh well. I'm still trying to figure out how to solve my drive shaft problem, summit racing had no suggestions except for "call pacesetter"...so now I'm waiting on a response from them. My brake lines under the master are also very very close and I will probably end up braking them (very rusted) trying the bend them away from the pipes. Other than that they fit well and tomorrow I'm getting the rest of the exhaust finished with 2.5" duals off the 3" Y into dual flomaster 40 series. I can't wait to hear what it sounds like!
