I also got the O-rings at NAPA, and lubed them. Finally got tired of trying.

You might want to change the T-stat while your there. If you haven't yet, grind or cut that stupid tab off the water neck base.

You dont need a new pump inlet tube, unless yours is rusted apart or something, just clean it up and slap a new o-ring on. Other than that, I think you're set! RTV if ya dont have it.

+ 1 on the RTV. I put RTV on the inside of the bypass hose, put the clamps on it, and let it sit over night before I put any coolant or water in it. You damn sure don't want it to leak after you get everything back together!!!

I went to get all of the gaskets this morning so I could go ahead and get the rear main seal done, but none of the parts stores had them. I did forget to check napa and carquest though, just realized that when I started typing.
Screw it, i'll order everything online.

Which RTV is the best to use? I tend to use the ultra black for most things. What applications would be it better to use the red, blue and ultra copper on instead of ultra black?

You're missing a few very important elements of this whole process.

Pound of hash a carton of smokes and a 24 pack of booze
