If it's running well, don't mess with it.

I gotta do the plenum sometime soon, so I figured I'd do it all, cap, rotor, plugs and wires. I'm strongly thinkin about doing the timing chain as well, I kinda think thats where I'm gettin some of the rattle noise. What's a loose t chain sound like anyway?
if your gonna rip as far in a t-chain you might as well spend the other 40$ and replace the water pump that will eventually sh*t the bed anyways. Should also think about putting in a 180 Tstat. just what i would do anyways.

A 180 t-stat won't work to good in Canada in the winter.

I'm going back to a stock t-stat, the first chance I get. If it's not sold first.

ya I was gonna do the water pump too just so its done... my dad had to replace his last summer and the truck only had ~125K (kms) on it. I'm gonna start gathering parts here soon and do it all.

what difference does the 180 tstat make? Been wondering for a while. My temp gauge never moves once it's up to temp, and I've never saw it go above normal temperature. And the fact I'm in Canada seems to be a non issue, it's been warmer here than much of the US lately and I don't think we'll get much more cold weather now

a 180 tstat will keep your coolant cooler than a 195 (15*), hence "performance"......i cant see is making a noticeable difference but everyone says it does so i was thinking about changing also

The heat is not good below freezing out, and around 10 degrees or lower, it throws a code.

The 180 helps if your engine pings with 87 octane.
