Replacing my wheelbarring, Video inside and pic's coming tomorrow
Finally got the hub out, full can of liquid wrench and a crowbar did the trick, just worked all 3 corners untill she poped out. Scared the **** out of me when she finally gave i was pushin against the bar and when she poped out i went straight into the truck and heard the jackstand slide a lil bit. Now all i need to do is press the caps out of the U joint and put the new one in and put the new hub on and put her all back togeather, going to see if i can make one of those things that sheriff was talking about, wooden dowel and a piece of sheetmetal to slide down inside the axle and clean out all the crap.
here's more pic's of what iv done so far.

You can also use a thick piece of plastic for the axle tube cleaner instead of a little chunk of sheet metal, it's just a scraper. and the diff fluid that got dragged into the axle tube will soften it up a little. Just get it the same shape as half of the tube so it'll scrape all the crap out.
It looks like the c-clips are on the u joint to me, they're on the inside of the yoke. You'll never get that u joint out if you don't pop those clips out.

yak...did the axle shaft move lot? if so its probably going to kill the seal....thats what happened to me...and i know you got everything out but using a 3/4 breakrbar got all my bolts out no problem, ad no penetrating fluid...just a FYI.....Also i had to take my shafts to a shop and pay 30 bucks for someone to change my u-joints....i tried beating the **** ou of it and could not budge the caps....got all the clips though lol.
but that wheel bering wasnt even bad lol....thats for flex when off roading lol

you need the hub to pull straight out. I have had good luck with a slide hammer. The kit usually has a hub attachment, then you can pull it straight off. My local auto parts store had one they loaned me.
DONE! finally. way too many damn trip's to the store, and they ended up giving me the wrong size u joint's i had to goto 3 different stores to find it.
Onto the pic's!
Hehe i didnt have a socket big enough to fit over the cap for the u joint so i just used the old hub instead. Worked nicely, used a socket and a hammer and beat it till it fell out the bottom.

Ended up cleaning out the hole's with a dreamel, had a lil bit of a lip on it.

Brandnew duralast u joint, lifetime limited warrenty ..

I pressed the new joint caps in with a C clamp, worked great i was extremely suprised.

YAY! new hub installed.

whats left of the old parts, lol nice little pile of bearings laying there isnt it. There was no grease AT ALL in the u joint and the bearings for it were dry as dust.

Parts and tools needed
U joint - $8.99 autozone
Can of PB blaster - $4.50
Hub/bearing - $100.10
Axle grease - $1.99
3/4" Breaker bar - $22.00 " will be returning for refund "
1 3/4 socket - $16.99 " also returning for refund "
Total time invested - 48 hours due to running around finding right part and socket.
Total cost will come to $115.58 after returning tools.
2 Broken 1/2 drive wratchets, 1 14mm wrench broken - Priceless.

good job yak! It's always such a nice feeling to see a nice shiny new hub on there right? I almost hate puttin the rotor and wheel back on it lol. I've changed around 10 hub assemblys on the last 3 vehicles I've owned, so I got that alot
lol next time i come into some more money im going to be doing the driverside, it needs it too. But it's got a little bit of life left in it and now all i need to do is stop by my buddy's house and grease all the joints, i dont think it's been greased in a very long time.
