The more expensive one might include rear bumper brackets.

so you would never go with 6" blocks because of being scared? did you know that the 2nd gen 2500-3500's came STOCK with 5" blocks? and i had 6" blocks in my truck for 3 years and never a single problem. never ever had axle wrap or anything, and the blocks had an angle on them to keep the axle angle and the driveshaft in good shape. and you want a body lift so that your wife and kids dont have to jump up like with a sus lift? Cmon man use your head...if you do either one it will be higher...3" up is 3" up no matter which way you look at it. and for your side steps...you can just fab up some longer brackets to get them a lil bnit lower so they are not so tight to your body. dont take what im saying as anything negative its all my own opinion
