Show me pics of your 3" Body Lift
I am looking at the Body Lift because I want to get the body up away from the frame for 2 reasons: 1) so my nerf bars are not up tight against my rocker panel (I might use them getting out if they were down another 3" instead of dragging my butt across the great sewing job I did to repair my seat), and 2) I want some lift, but don't want the wife and kids to have to step up any higher to get in and out of the truck.
I don't trail ride like I used to. This truck only sees 4x4 when on muddy hunting roads, or possibly when it snows. Not worried about tweaking the lift blocks.
I would NEVER NEVER NEVER put a 6" block back there and absolutely would NEVER consider stacking blocks. That is just asking for trouble. I witnessed a block being spit out of a truck once, and will never again consider them. It is springs, or nothing.

The steps don't move up with the body. They stay with the frame. And I am not a fabricator, so I have to use my noggin to find the best plug and play options to fit my needs.
I appreciate your concern. I may be wrong, but I bolted mine to the body mount locations on the frame. I will have to take them off, jack the body up, and then put them back on before inserting the block and then the frame on top of th block. Again, I could be wrong.
Most steps I've seen bolt to the frame, I wouldn't want my steps bolted to thin sheet metal on the body, just incase someone larger steped on one, or if someone jumped on it. And just because Chrysler put a 5" block on the 2500 series truck dosn't mean a 6" block on a 1500 or stacking blocks is a good idea (plenum gasket anyone).

they were crager d's (8 or 9" wide I believe) and they had the larger backspacing so they didnt stick out....they didnt rub at all but they made my tires look thin (12.5 wide) so i went with the aluminum ones I got a good deal on which have an inch less backspacing and stick out about two inches more since they are a 10" wide rim....these rub on the slightest angle at full lock (turning) at slow speeds with the same tires.... so in my case more backspacing was better....I still havent made up my mind which rims I like better the steel ones are so heavy though and I like the wider stance look which makes the wheels seem bigger..
