How hard is it to drill out? Is there a write up for that?

Step 1 Remove line
Step 2. Drill the check ball out.
Step 3 Charge someone $48 for it

I bet the check ball was engineered to last 36,001 miles.

Do you guys see any issue with taking the line apart when the transmission fluid is changed and making sure the check valve is working properly, but leaving it in place?

The only issue is PESSIMISM from everyone here on this forum that it WILL EVENTUALLY FAIL and cause tranny death.

It seems that owning one of these trucks is a lifelong lesson in problem solving and the quest to build a perfect 2ndGen how it SHOULD HAVE been built from the factory (aluminum plenum plate, check valve delete, kegger divider delete, pcm reprogram due to deathflash).

Yeah I have noticed that. I am coming to this truck from an 88 Toyota 4 cylinder truck where the only thing you had to watch for was the timing chain/guides wearing out every 100,000 miles lol.
