46re brand new, wont shift into the next gear

Everyone wants a quick fix. lol. But not everyone gets one.
If youve checked the cable, replaced the external sensors, checked all of your transmission electrical connections to make sure they are plugged in, everything external, then its inside the transmission.
The transmission is not in limp mode. If you had a shorted wire a check engine light would come on or you would have other electrical indicators. You can check all of your fuses, but normally a blown transmission fuse would put the trans in limp mode. There is a possibility the governor pressure sensor is not working properly. But if you drop the pan and start changing things around, is the builder still going to warranty the trans?

Sorry for bumping such an old thread, (I'm old school here I use the search feature, lol)
Is Limp Mode when it stays in Second or third?
I have what I now believe (thanks to fellow posters here who help a lot) to be either a governor solenoid problem or a governor sensor. With my 8-pin hooked up I am stuck in what I thought to be first, but now pretty sure it was second, as I was able to get up to 40 without redlining and you can't do that in first.
Before my transmission started acting up I had to rev the engine up to a high RPM then let got of the gas to get it to shift.
I also had a serious leak from the Pump O-ring...
So I rebuilt the trans using good parts, but I didn't change any sensors or solenoids.
I'm seeing more and more that it looks like VB electricals cause a lot of shift problems..
I haven't tried mine with the 8-pin hooked up and no TV cable yet.
With no 8-pin I can manual shift to first or second and thats it, with the 8-pin on, I am stuck in one forward gear, then I have reverse, Neutral and Park...
A lot of info can be gained by reading the advice given to others.
