Sorry. Its extremely difficult finding a good capable builder. Btw these valve bodies dont "go bad". Ive never had to replace one after i rebuilt it. If you take them apart, take every valve out, polish the bores and install the sure cure and wash all the crap out of them they are good to go.

Most shops dont touch the valve body though. They are scared of them, some will swap them out trying to get a transmission to work better.

Sounds more like a bad builder rather than a bad valvebody.

number 2 just a tad.

Newbie here needing a little HELP!!!

Just picked up a 2001 Ram 1500 reg cab LWB 4x4 with a 318

Question is this.....The transmission will start out in 2nd gear pretty much every time I take off unless I manually shift it into 1st.....if I manually put it into first and then shift it back into drive as soon as the truck starts moving it will shift out of first fine and through all of the gears fine.....everything else works great and the truck only has 42000 miles on it and has never towed anything in it's life (matter of fact it doesn't even have a tow package lol).

governor pressure sensor & solenoid replacement needed???

thanks in advance!!!

Now now, if it was out of the V10, then it would be the 47RE, and I do believe that the V10 runs on Gas...

If its a v10 it might work, its a 47re the bellhousings might be different, not sure. But the v8 gas motors, no its a 46re wont bolt up and wont hold up.

Hi my Tranny won't move unless it cool then it will only go about the length of a parking lot before all you hear is motor & whine from the transmission. It's at the Trans shop now. He starts work on it tuesday. Is there anything I should specifically ask for or just let him swap out for one he says he has on his stock shelf. 2001 Ram 1500 5.2LTR 2whl dr. I pull a motorcycle trailer with two bikes on it.
Thanks in advance Obie
