285s are perfect on rams and you wont realy notice a difference power wise. If you got a 4.5 inch lift 33s will fill it in even better and like my truck i still dont feal a power loss. But 4 10 gears and lift with bigger tires is the way to go.

285s are atad too big for those gears, for those gears 265s should really be the max, if you have the 3.73 gears then its not bad, your gonna have some power loss down low off the line(or stop light whatever)

With that lift I wouldnt go any smaller, yes you will feel some loss in lowend with those tires but most people dont notice it or care, I would not go bigger than that size unless you get 305/70/16's

Pretty much standard sizing is out of date, only tires in a 15" rim are still posted with standard sizes meaning 31x10.5x15 or 33x12.5x15 except for some select tires.

265/75/16 is comparable to a 31
285/75/16 is comparable to a 33
305/70/16 is comparable to a 33
305/75/16 is comparable to a 34

try this out, should answer any size questions you'll have

http://www.1010tires.com/TireSizeCal...?action=submit

I have 285's on mine, had 245s when I got it. I don't notice much difference, other than the tire shake I get at around 100 kmh because they were used and we couldn't get em balanced good...
