There are plenty of used M1s floating around, a lot cheaper than the Hughes as well.

there was a turbo 5.2 in a 2nd gen ram on youtube.....it ended up blowing up

if i remember correctly, they took the stock manifolds and flipped them over, then ran the turbo up front, seems like that may be easier than taking place of the cat

EDIT: I am hoping that with that long of a run to the intake and being that far back on the exhaust i can eliminate the need for an intercooler,

Awesome....i didnt mean anything bad by what i said. its just i would love to see one of these projects get rolling and see pics...most others are all talk....cant wait to hear the outcome

Please follow threw with this and post pics of the process. I would love this thread to turn into a full build thread. But you never see that anymore, cause people get discouraged and run away from what they wanna do.

DOOOOOO IIIIIIIIITTTT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What makes those injectors so good?
They have 4 holes. Stockers have only one hole.
They are 24lb/hr injectors. Stockers are 22
At 49 PSI they run 25.5 lb/hr. So when you add a mild cam or 1.7s, chip exhaust, etc, you will see more power. They basically optimize your other mods.

Ever hear of the saying (for carb engines), "If you do not have to change your jets, then it is not a mod."

Bingo! Remember, engine performance is optimized by fuel, oxygen, and spark. If you increase the amount of air entering the engine, you will need to increase the amount of fuel you can feed to the engine also, otherwise your stock injectors will be maxed out and you'll be traveling further away from stoich. AND, remember, the more o2 you can get into the engine, the more you need to get out, so this is where exhaust plays in too!

I didnt post the link but I did mean a Hughes FI Air Gap, sorry for any confusion.
If buying new, the FI is cheaper
Used the M1 would be cheaper cause they are a dime a dozen these days.

Stock 5.2 4x4 Ram, I would not add an M1 cause it will cause low rpm torque loss. Without a decent cam & higher stall tc its not worth installing IMHO.

I do agree though Hahns, that turbo is way too small.
