Freakin sweet. I'll be doing that after I replace the bushing/bearing that aligns the axles for the collar.

okay guys, i have just about had it with the CAD. its still not lining up and working correctly. im at the point were i am about to call up EMS and order that single shaft kit.i just have one question. i know that this will make the gears/driveshaft spin full time. but where is the clutch inside the t case. will the chain be spinning full time too? i Just dont want to wear out chains like it is going out of style.. but while we are on the topic; anyone ever replace a tcase chain? how difficult is it?

No clutches in T-case.

Yes, all the parts in there will be turning too. Not really an issue, as the mere act of them turning ensures good lubrication of all parts.

Shouldn't wear the chain excessively fast either, as it will not be under any tension, just freewheeling in the case.

The transfer case works in about the same way is the central axle disconnect. Running your front axle etc. all the time shouldn't cause any issues. (aside from a slight dent in your fuel economy? maybe slightly accelerated wear on the front end parts?)

no personal experience on the t-case chain, but its a common topic over on the jeep sites. lots of diy's on it over there.

have you replaced the bushings or bushing/bearing at your cad yet. that should correct your alignment problems. i've got a set ordered and hope to do it soon. my collar's a little hard to slide too.

i did-- i just dont know what the problem is maybe a bearing on the inner axleshaft? no idea it might also need new fork pads i dunno. I am honestly just tired of throwing money at the CAD just for it to still not work. Ever get to that point in a project that just wont let you win? So i'm at that point and feel liek taking care of it once and for all lol. by just taking out the problem, haha. I will not be defeated by this dumb 4wd.
