Well my dad has a 95 dodge ram 1500 318 v8 with 260000 arigenale miles on both motor and trans. First he was having trouble reversing it would bog out and sometimes the rpm's would go up and down. But now it's happening when it's in drive and it is stop and go traffic does anyone know or have an idea of what the problem would be cause we are thinking it to could be a throttle body gasket or something like that.

 

Check the plenum first. (see stickied thread at top of this forum.)

Remove, and thoroughly clean the throttle body. Pay particular attention to the IAC, and the well it mounts in. (disconnect battery while doing this.)

See what happens.
