If I were you I would still look into that console cupholder as well.... That is probably the next thing I'm buyin for mine

all my tabs on the bottom broke off. So i'm going to have to get a new one and i'm not paying over $50 for one.

I wonder if the console 94-97 cup holder would work on a 98+ I seem to like that cup holder design better from genos

No it will not. the inside console design is different. I have tryed. My friend has a 96 dodge and it won't fit. I have the 98-01 console cup holder from genosgarage.

I never thought of the wire idea, thats so simple i havent used mine because its been broke for awhile, i'll tweak the idea a little , thanks

Here's what i did similiar but removed all the plastic parts, bought some 1/16 wire rated 124 lbs , lol and some wire clamps things, couple big screws and washers, i have a cup holder again. $5 bucks and some change at home depot. ehhh good enough for my hillbilly ***...

lol, sweet deal. it works and thats all that counts. i bought some stuff yesterday, i'm just trying to think of a way to run the wires behind the middle plastic piece that broke. but yeah cheap way to fix it for sure

Yeah the wife rode in the truck and saw it for the first time tonight and said" as long as it works why not", because i had the same prob of having drinks collapsing that holder all the way to floor while i was on rough roads or if they were to heavy , Finally I spun a bearing after the 100th time of that happening and ripped it all out, lol.... Hold on i just thought of something im gonna go spray those washer primer gray so they dont stick out like a sore thumb, Cant be having that bling bling inside the truck..........
